Baby On Track -A Run To Save A Precious Life

If we were given the power to save someone else’s life, wouldn’t we use it?
Come July of this year, barely two months to go, a charming little girl’s chances of survival lie on our hands. Shaila Micaella Castell or “Baby Shaila” needs a liver transplant because of her rare and fatal Bilary Atresia disease before she turns one – a procedure that costs a whooping P4.5 M. Her doting parents are not to be deterred by this, as any parent is wont to do for the sake of his or her child. They will exhaust every drip of resources they have just to give their daughter a fighting chance at life.
A very special 3K, 5K and 10K fun run dubbed BABY ON TRACK will be held this coming June 26 at the CCP Complex. At the very affordable registration fees of P450, P550 and P650 that comes with a singlet, race bib and finisher medal, we as runners will be instruments in giving Baby Shaila a very precious gift of life. That I believe is the most meaningful act any good meaning runner who runs for a healthy and longer life can do to his or her fellowman.
